Branded content, where a brand uses media in a quasi-below-the-line way, has been buzzing around for a few years now. The campaign pictured above, comes from beer brand Foster’s, it is one of the most public examples of this type of marketing to date.

Reviving comic characters of the last 20 years, Foster’s is using these popular cult figures as part of its promotion, and being quite prominent about its association. As the market gets more crowded and competitive, marketing continues to get broader and more creative.
